She is lonely and sad looking at the red rose she has got from her love.  She is alone, watching the rose, dreaming, waiting for her love to come back.

Zeus had many female lovers and one male lover, Ganymede (latin Catamitus), a young man from Troy. Zeus took the form of an eagle to take the boy to Olympus where he became the cup-bearer of gods. The ancient Greeks associated Ganymede with the constellation Aquarius.
