This is my newest oil on canvas painting of the goddess Kore, the maiden aspect of Persephone, being taken to the underworld by the hand of Hades

I just wanted to draw a silhouette with the summer sun inside while outside there is a cold winter but there is more than this in my drawing. There are hidden figures and emotions and the silhouette reminds me of a woman I once loved, her strength, her attitude. The character in my drawing looks feminine and strong at the same time, like an amazon.
