The worst enemy of blogging

When I check mu stats I notice the trafiic on my blog is lower than 10,7 or even 5 years ago and it tends to get lower and lower and even if my blogs and websites are optimised for search engines and they appear in many searches, on the first page, the number of visits from search engines is gowing down and now more people come from my facebook page than from google search. People are no longer googling and surfing the internet like before and they stay on facebook instead.
10 years ago blogs have represented the voice of the poeple, free to express their opinions. There were governments and people who have the political or economic power who have tried to silence them and fortunately they didn't succeed but there is something on the internet that is slowly killing blogging: Facebook.
Facebook is the worst enemy of blogs and idenpendent sites, killing the rest of the internet, making visible only promoted (with money) content, that's how they have grown, not because the site was better than myspace, hi5 or yahoo 360. On facebook to get an audience you must pay to facebook, lf you don't you are just wasting your time posting. In the happiest case 20% of friends view your post and posts from pages are hidden by facebook and can be seen only by the people who go to the page if they are not promoted. Facebook is changing the internet but not in a good way, making it a place where money means power and people who don't have enough money to promote their stuff will be like those who speak alone in a park, nobody will hear them, nobody will read what they write. This is bad especially for nonprofit blogs, for people who just write, without the intention to sell something, for poets, for people who write about the problems of the modern society, science etc.
I miss the times when there was no facebook or twitter and when I was building a website  in HTML and CSS that website had so many visitors from around the world. I miss the internet of the 90's or early 2000's.
I advice you not to waste your posts on facebook and start reading and writing blogs.

A dream and a drawing about me and her

How I wish I was with her now. I had many dreams about her and this drawing is about one of them, me and her walking on the mountains, holding hands,  being so close to each other. She was holding my hand so tight making me feel protected and loved and I was following her. In my dream I was fascinated by her tall stature, her blue eyes, her attitude, the was she was walking, the way she was wearing her leather hat and jacket and her trousers.  I wish she was real. I wish she was here with me. I wish it was not just a dream.

A painting about the real mening of Christmass

This is my painting about the essence of Christmass, a celebration of the rebirth of sun from the ignition of fire (in Romania we have a winter holiday called "ignat", a word similar to the english ignition, which proves there was link between the dacian and the celtic culture ), the pagan holiday of the winter solstice, the beginning of a new cycle of life.

The goddess Artemis was an eternal virgin and being watched and wanted by a man was what she hated the most so she turned the hunter Actaeon, who was watching her while she was naked, into a stag.

Euphoria - soulmates in the universe

I had some paintings about two soulmates floating in the universe, swiming into infinity. Almost all of these paintings have been sold. The song Euphoria by Loreen has inspired me to make one of the paintings. That painting has been sold too but a young woman has asked me to make a new one and this sunday I've made the painting above

A dream I've had this morning has inspired me to paint this naked woman passing through a vegetal gate that is separating two worlds, like Eve when she has left the garden of Eden.

A dream

I had this dream a few days ago. I suddenly decided to go, to fly far away and then I got there, where I knew there was a city close to sea, where the woman I once loved was living. I was all alone and I had no place to go but I was not afraid. I felt so free. I was walking in a desert looking for the city and the sea. The sky had a pinkish color. It was only me there, so lonely, and her ghost was haunting my mind. I was walking hoping I will find the sea, hoping I will meet her again. I walked until the morning alarm 🔔 started ringing.
This painting is abot the dream I had.

Sappho was the best known female poet in the ancient Greece but not the only one.
By that time there was a culture of the feminine poetry and art and young women and girls were organized in groups  ruled by poets like Sappho were they were writing poems, they were singing in chorus, they were dancing.
Corinna from Tanagra, Boetia was a poet too. She wrote epic poems about the daughters of Minyas, Oedip and Orion and an invocation to  Therpsichore, the muse of dance and chorus. Like Sappho did, Corinna has ruled a group of young maidens.
Corinna has inspired the poet Ovid too and I'm proud to bear her name. The name Corina has her story behind it.
Erinna was one of Sappho's followers.
She has written Distaff, a poem about her childhood friend Baucis who has died shortly after the wedding. Was marriage something unwanted  for Baucis? Erinna died shortly after she has written the poem. She was just 19.
